How Oxford Street might look
• THE decision to extend the consultation regarding the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street suggests that this consultation may be more than a public relations exercise (Pedestrian-only Oxford Street backlash, December 15).
In listening to all the local community groups and associations who represent the residents and smaller business bordering Oxford Street, the Mayor of London and Transport for London may realise this rerouting of all traffic is a toxic plan.
It is important to put the health and of the community above the shopping opportunities of tourists and visitors.
